Im Zuge des Jubil\u00e4ums 20-Jahre Viognier pr\u00e4sentierte Maximilian Hardegg auf mehreren hochkar\u00e4tigen Veranstaltungen einen Querschnitt aus zwanzig Jahrg\u00e4ngen dieses in \u00d6sterreich einzigartigen Weines.<\/strong><\/p><p>Was im September 2019 mit einer fulminanten Verkostung beim Wiener Edelgrei\u00dfler und Gastronomen \u00bbMayer und Freunde\u00ab noch maskenfrei begann, fand im September 2020 bei einer spannenden \u201eMasterclass mit Abstand\u201c in Salzburg einen w\u00fcrdigen Abschluss.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped Auch die Experten &amp; Vertriebspartner in Tirol (Getr\u00e4nke Wille) sowie die Teilnehmer der Masterclass in Salzburg (organisiert von Morandell) waren beeindruckt. Heimisch ist sie an der n\u00f6rdlichen C\u00f4tes du Rh\u00f4ne, wird aber auch dort nur noch in geringen Mengen angebaut. Sie gilt als schwierig zu kultivieren und erbringt wenig Ertrag. Trotzdem \u2013 oder vielleicht gerade deswegen \u2013 z\u00e4hlt manch Viognier zu den besten Weinen der Welt und besticht durch Aromen nach Pfirsich, Mango, Melonen und Rosen, durch Eleganz und Finesse. In \u00d6sterreich wird der Viognier im \u00dcbrigen nicht als Qualit\u00e4tsrebsorte gelistet, weshalb die Rebsorte auch nicht auf den Graf-Hardegg-Etiketten angef\u00fchrt sein darf. Dort steht stattdessen ein schlichtes \u00bbV\u00ab.<\/p><p>Auf Gut Hardegg hat der Viognier mit einem Hektar Anbaufl\u00e4che und einer Erntemenge von 2.500 Flaschen j\u00e4hrlich einen Anteil von f\u00fcnf Prozent am Hardegg&#8217;schen Sortenspiegel und genie\u00dft bei vielen Gastronomen und privaten Weinliebhabern seit Jahren Kultstatus. Maximilian Hardegg zu seiner pers\u00f6nlichen Lieblingsrebsorte: <em>\u00bbDer Viognier war damals als Positiv-Ausrei\u00dfer f\u00fcr uns ganz wichtig. Nur so konnte das n\u00f6rdliche Weinviertel zeigen, was es wirklich kann. Die spannende exotische Fruchtauspr\u00e4gung, die ausgepr\u00e4gte Jahrgangscharakteristik und auch die exzellente Lagerf\u00e4higkeit der Weine wogen die kleinen Ertr\u00e4ge auf.
